I am Max Schrut's daughter, also a photographer. I grew up in Detroit and attended Mumford High School and the University of Michigan.  During my teen years I worked at my dad’s studio ( Blair Studio) after school.  I didn’t take any photos then, but occasionally, I worked in the dark room or helped to make proofs.  My father would often speak of his photo assignments for Israel Bonds where he photographed Golda Meir and Sammy Davis Jr. among other dignitaries.
Many years later, I became a wedding and bar-mitzvah photographer in the Washington DC area, although my primary career has been in education. My two Master’s Degrees are in education and film and video. Now I am retired enabling me to attend lots of cultural and political events when I’m not traveling.
