Tefillat haLev (Prayer of the Heart)

In this busy world, it can be nearly impossible to find time to catch our breath, let alone listen to the prayers of our heart. AJ Heschel said, "It is the task of the human to reveal what is concealed...In singing we perceive what is otherwise beyond perceiving." By engaging in a collective music practice that slows our minds, opens our hearts and gives space to express through voice what is true in the moment, we can awaken our neshamas (souls), deepen our own spiritual lives and build connective tissue between one another. We will be working with breath, long tones, simple melodies (with and without words) and silence. All voices are welcome. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to participate.
