Was Esther a Feminist?

Why did Esther have two names? Was she a leader or a follower? Did she appease authority or flaunt it? Come learn more about who Queen Esther was and how she saved the Jewish people. In doing so, we'll think about what Jewish tradition has to teach us about beauty, power, and resistance.

Jenna Englender received rabbinic ordination in 2019 from Yeshivat Maharat. She is a Jewish educator in the Metro Detroit area and serves as Halachic Advisor on Niddah and Women’s Health for the Etz Chayim congregation in Huntington Woods.
